Process

I am currently developing artworks for an upcoming exhibition at the end of this month and thought I would give you an example of how chaotic my process/ideation works tends to be.

Giorno 3

I was so delighted with my purchases in Japan I even took the time to photograph them (yes a little obsessive but thats me). I was in awe of the amount of craftsmanship evident in the products available at the various beautiful stores I visited. Their attention to detail and presentation skills were truly admirable. Working in an art store and being surrounded by art supplies all day has helped me develop a growing appreciation for well made quality materials and Japan is definitely a forerunner in this field.

l'esplorazione del colore

I recently bought a square journal and have decided to devote it purely to colour experiments as I feel this area I tend to avoid in my work. Here is a few pages I have worked on in the past few weeks. My friend Katherine Jago recently spoke of her desire to study textile design in Melbourne in a couple of years. The thought of this was very exciting as enrolling in such a course has crossed my mind before as it seems like a great way to combine multiple passions I have. Although who knows what the future holds... I wish I could study a million things!
